Okay, time for some Matlab annoyances.

[] | 1 evaluates to []. In other words,
if ( [] | 1 )
function();
end
will never call function.
The movin’ in-party was good stuff. Not too much drinking on me, but others had their full share and more. The pictures passed around were… amusing, though possibly not fit for online publication. Lots of singing, though. Nice teddybear, too. I wish I went more skiing. Perhaps I should get a pair of them highway-skis?
Aaaaand we have a royal heir. She’s a girl, so when poppa dies, she’s the queen. Both the momma and the poppa are standard Norwegian pink, though, so my dream of a coloured regent will have to wait at least thirty more years.
Went to IKEA. Bought Swedish furniture. Haven’t seen Fight Club in a while. Will be a change, since I’ve been sleeping on the floor with my possessions piled up around me the last week and a half.
Working as a lab uncle isn’t all that bad at the moment, though the exams may be rather worky.
Can’t find my old password sheet. Damnation.
Diet sodas. Taste bad, don’t make you fat, but still rot your teeth.
Not getting a lot better at Python, nynorsk GNOME is in stagnation now, and it’s cold and snowy outside. If only the day had been twelve hours longer, I could go some more skiing.
The world is covered with water again. But it’s frozen, so that’s okay. Well, it was okay Saturday, when it was a couple below freezing, a few snowflakes falling, and no wind. Didn’t exploit it, of course, because I was too busy getting out of that nice big flat of mine and into one I can afford slightly better, and spend the money I save on rent on new furniture. Yesterday was also not too bad, although it was wobbling around zero, which makes for a bad day in the tracks. Which I didn’t visit, choosing instead to be mostly lazy. Then today, at the university, it’s ungood again, because it’s just warm enough here to melt a steady little trickle of water from the piles of snow, and it doesn’t drain, and the puddles don’t show, because they are hidden under snow, and the pavements are blocked, and daft drivers who don’t know studless from summer tyres block the roads at the first hint of an incline.
Nice, innit? I actually kept this up to date once, you know. Updated every, oh, fifteen minutes or so. Mercator projection along a random axis looks so nice.
Well, this template thingy wasn’t as magical as I had imagined. But maybe I’ll bother to sit down and figure it out one day. And then I’ll figure out how to get a 24-hour clock and Monday-Sunday calendar too. Right now I want to go to sleep, but I should go work a bit on my studies instead. Then tonight after a beer or two at the spontaneous party not planned arond seven tonight, I’ll roll back home and move some more of my stuff around.
Google doesn’t know enough about Åsmund skjæveland yet. But life goes on. So I’ve decided to try better software than my own.
