CD-RW scam

It is hereby my opinion that the CD-RW format is a scam. If you’re careful, you might get four, five uses ut of your disk before it’s a coaster.

Then again, the writable CD has always been a miserable failure. It’s ridicolously inconvenient and troublesome to write data to a CD-R and CD-RW. Yes, there is a standard called Mount Rainier that allows using a CD like a floppy. It’s been universally supported in hardware for well over two years now. How about making operating systems that can use it?
