A pleasant surprise in today’s mail: Schlock Mercenary: Under New Management. Remarkable. I was expecting transpolar mail to take up to three weeks, not three days. I think I’ll break out the good beer for this one. Forth to enjoy. Oh, and I do believe I’ll keep this beauty outside my BookCrossing bookshelf. Mine!
Bloody vikings.
The spam bastards have found me again, but the spamcatcher built-in in Wordpress seems to work nicely. Very nicely. Not that I had much legitimate comment traffic in the first place.
You gotta keep on movin’!
Well, not really, but anyway I did. New apartment and suchlike. The old one is very nearly empty, but needs washing. The new one is piled up with disassembled bookshelves and bed. One of these days I’ll find time to unpack and assemble. For now I’ve just got the bare essentials up and running.

Spring is here, a-suh-puh-ring is here.
Life is skittles and life is beer.
I think the loveliest time of the year
Is the spring. I do, don’t you?
‘Course you do.
But there’s one thing that makes spring complete for me,
And makes every Sunday a treat for me:
All the world seems in tune on a spring afternoon,
When we’re poisoning pigeons in the park.
Every Sunday you’ll see my sweetheart and me,
As we poison the pigeons in the park.

Not only has the snow nearly melted, and the ice on Sognsvann is breaking up, but here and there tufts of fresh clorophyll poke out of the withered lawns and fields. Even the trees are about to burst to life. And only a month or so late.
